SIX!

Today the students were learning the verbs VOULOIR and POUVOIR we played the game SIX! This is an excellent way for the students to practise the verb over and over again. It is a super simple game to play and here are the instructions and photos:

1. Group your students in pairs.
2. Print out a paper on which the students can conjugate a verb multiple times and give it to each pair of students.
3. Give each student a different colour pen, and give each pair of students a dice.
4. Students roll a dice to decide who in their pair begins the game.
5. The person who starts the game, begins to write out the conjugation of the verb on the paper. They can start anywhere on the paper, it doesn't matter.
6. While one student is writing, the other is continually rolling the dice until they get a six. When they get a six their call SIX!, and take the paper so that they can now write out conjugations of the verb in the spaces.
   
7. The students keep writing and switching and the game ends when all the spaces have been filled with the conjugations.
8. Finally the students check that all of the conjugations are correct, and cross out any conjugations that contain errors. They count up how many conjugations each student has written correctly (easy because they are writing in different colours), and the students with the most is the winner!
